How to Change and Increase Monitor Refresh Rate Windows 10
In order to change and increase the monitor refresh rate in Windows 10, go to Settings >> System >> Display >> Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties > Click on Monitor > Your present refresh rate will be under Monitor settings, system refresh rate.
If you want to be able to change the refresh rate of your monitor, toggle the dropdown, and choose from a list of refresh rates. Click on any of the refresh rates, and your work should be done.
How to Set Monitor To 144Hz Windows 10 — My 144Hz Monitor Is Only Showing 60 Hz

Can’t Change Refresh Rate Windows 10?
There’s one trick that I discovered after playing with my monitor for years.
Your gaming monitor has an “above the display” menu where you can select the refresh rate you want.
If that’s the case, then check the cables you’re using.
You can’t go higher than the default refresh rate on a monitor that has both HDMI and DisplayPort ports.
